 Presentation and Critiquing
The 2-day “Training on Module Writing Preparation” designed to enhance the insights and capability of module writers was conducted on April 29 to 30, 2009 at the Moot Court, College of Law of Western Mindanao State University. This undertaking was accomplished as another milestone of the series of activities of the AFNR, Project 2 under the active and able leadership of Dr. Chona Q. Sarmiento, Project Leader and Dr. Vivian Molina; the Training Coordinator supported by the project staff was very successful. The first day of the training was highlighted by the lecture of the renowned scientific and technical writer and the former Chancellor of the U.P. Open University, Dr. Felix R. Librero. The lecture of Dr. Librero had provided the participants with the basic and essential concepts in writing a module which are considered vital and useful information for making a good module. However, on the second day, He also served as a critique cutting across the content, format, and styles of the various modules presented by the module writers on various topics; these include Entrepreneurship: Project Proposal Preparation, Feasibility study and Business Plan, Product Development, Marketing Management, and Accounting for Non-accountant which were presented by Engr. Danilo Fonollera, Prof. Florenchita Somblingo and Arbaiya Abdula, respectively. The next modules that were presented include; Tissue Culture seedling Production( Elmer Galo), Coconut Sugar Processing ( Dr. Rafael Baguio and Concesa Mangaya-ay),Rubber Nursery Management (Pepito Lacbao), Rubber Budwood Production (Dr.Moises Glenn Tangalin), and Seaweeds Farming( Roland Pelinggon and Oliver Tito), respectively. The presentations of module writers were comprehensively critique by Dr. Librero together with Experts on various technical fields of the subjects as follows; on Entrepreneurships, Dr. Frede Moreno and Ms. Marilou Alba, Tissue Culture Seedling Production, Ms. Resurreccion Esturas, Rubber Nursery Management and Budwood Production,Dr. Lenita Caperida, and Mr. Avelino Lozada, respectively. The training ended at 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon. |
