Two WMSU Students Top National Teachers Licensure Test
Two education graduates of the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) places 5th and 6th in the results of the latest National Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). In a recent report to WMSU President Dr. Eldigario Gonzales, College of Education Dean Dr. Carmelita Felisilda also revealed that of the 206 Bachelor of Science in Education-Elementary Education(BSEED) graduates who took the exams, 168 of them passed.which is equals to a passing rate of 82- percent.The national passing rate was only 28-percent, she noted. Moreover, of the 180 others majoring in secondary level education, 90 of hem passed, which is also equals to a 50-percent passing rate. Dr. Felisilda also noted that this level, the national passing rate was a much lower 26-percent. Dr.Felisilda identified the top board passers as Joel Fernando and Stephen Tan, who ranked 5th and 6th, respectively.
